Class A sectional preview (boys)

Okay, here we go, round two of my picks. Last week I wasn’t great in Westchester, but I was pretty decent in Rockland, now let’s mix the two together and see what we come up with:
1. Ramapo: The team won the county title without Abelard and if he runs at sectionals there would just be a larger margin of victory. Malivert, Padilla, Chidi and Dozie Ezemma, Hendrick, Payen they’re among the best in the section in their events. This was an easy pick.
2. Suffern: The Mounties had a great county meet making it a lot closer than what was expected. Sectionals will be tougher because they are going against a lot of really good distance runners, most notably Scarsdale. They have had a real good season and I see no reason why it shouldn’t continue.
3. Scarsdale: It will be between them and Suffern for second place. This should be a really interesting match up because both teams have a similar strength, distance. Obviously the two teams have quality athletes in the sprinting and field events, which could determine who comes out on top.
4. New Rochelle: It had a rough day at counties, but with a full roster this team should be able to compete. They have a lot of athletes so getting points won’t be a factor, but its strength is Ramapo’s strength so that could hurt this team.
5. North Rockland: Having athletes place won’t be a problem, but like last week, this team will have a tough time getting a lot of points. The Red Raiders will be up there in because they will have a lot of athletes scoring, but it probably won’t be enough.
Let’s see if I have better luck this time than last week. See you at White Plains…

a little bird told me that carrington may be out for the season, that will really effect north rockland’s scoring at sectionals.
there are other classes that are running this weekend you know.
how come john jay cross river is not listed on here? from what i here and what ive seen they have a very strong team right now
because the journal news doesn’t cater to the northern counties. all they care about is westchester and rockland and they seem to forget that there’s another little piece that adds onto section 1 and also happens to contain some of the sections best runners/athletes
