Looking ahead (boys)

October
27

This is an early look at the sectional meet for the boys. It’s just a quick overview, I’ll have much more on this meet the rest of the week.

Class AA:
Arlington and North Rockland are the two best teams. Suffern and Scarsdale could potentially steal the title. The individual winner will be John Muller of Arlington.

Class A:
This one is completely up for grabs. Fox Lane, Brewster, Somers and Horace Greeley all have a great chance to win the title. The individual winner will be Manu Kumar from Yorktown.

Class B:
This will be between Pearl River and Byram Hills. This is another toss-up. Mike Hickey will win the individual champ.

Class C:
Dobbs Ferry and Irvington will battle it out. Another race that’s going to come down to the wire. I would say that Dobbs Ferry has the advantage right now, but it’ll be close. The individual winner could come from either one of the schools, but most likely one of the Wortner brothers from Dobbs Ferry.

  1. AA

i don’t think you can go ahead and say john muller will win the AA race when his teammate jared leslie has beaten him a majority of the time including last week.

  2. AA fan

i think that arlington is going to go 1-2-3 in AA. While i think that Arlington will win the section, I think that North Rockland would do better at the state meet. Hopefully the top 3 or 4 teams in AA get a chance to represent section 1 at feds though.

  3. breakthebarrier

Arlington will NOT win the team title and and they will not go 1-2-3….Dougherty got beat by Mcdonough of Mahopac at Counties and Hughes( North Rockland ) and Carrington ( NR When he is on ) can right with the arlington top 3….North Rockland will win the team title….Reason being that Arlington 4 and 5 guy are just to weak and to far back…..

  4. wrong

breakthebarrier your an idiot seeing as how doherty is definitely capable of beating hughes, and carrington is not going to even be a factor in this race. carrington barely managed a 4th place finish at counties, and doesnt have a good history at bowdoin.
