i hope that when you write your article, you focus both on individuals AND teams equally, and not favor one over the other.

  2. JEF

What happened to Hickey and Kumar? Looks like an awful day for Section 1 (especially given the home course advantage)!

  3. bowdoin

I didn’t go to the race, but I could only imagine that the course was in horrible condition with tons of mud. That wouldn’t have been a fun experience to run in. Still should be a disappointing day for some section 1 runners like Hickey and Muller who probably both thought they had a good chance at winning.

  4. Ansel Adams

The course was terrible. I saw Shelby G. go up on one leg like a skiier out of control coming through the playground loop, she just about lost it and then people behind her kept going down, that’s not even a mile into the course. Others fell up on the crown hill. At the finish you could see all the kids that had wiped out covered in mud and aching all over. Not a great day for speed.

  5. Rockland Girl

oh man…i was at the race today and at least 10 girls wipped out coming down the hill right when you come out of the hill in the woods. I did see Shelby slip a little like Ansel said. Bad day to run on a course like Bowdoin.

  6. Been There

Time to find a new place to run FEDS. Course was a mess before a single race was run over it. Times were terrible.
Not a good way for the best of the best seniors to end their high school careers. Perhaps no one should be allowed over the course on Friday or before the Races. NG

  7. Yeah Man

I hate Bowdoin Park as it is anyways, the bathrooms there are atrocious and so many people are there and you have to wait in long lines and stuff. But aside from that the course is like so narrow and you get so stuck and it’s had to pass people

  8. feds

times were bad cause of the weather. You can’t ask for perfect weather for every cross country meet. The bathrooms at just about any course suck, and maybe it’s hard for you to pass people because your slow.

  9. runrunrun

    Ouch

  10. HS sports fan

How about those awesome girls teams from section 2. Saratoga Springs set the standard many years ago and other schools have caught up. I think their section took the top 4 spots. Some of the fans were saying that at Saratoga HS their motto is ” if your not rated #1 in the country you have had a bad year”. Congrats to all who participated, the conditions were brutal.

  11. John Z.

I’ve never run at Bowdoin, but locals out here in western NY say that it is an awful course-no room to pass-poor fotting, etc.. It does seem to be overused as well, which could explain the poor conditon. Maybe it would be good to have Feds at different locations, even different parts of the state. Wappingers is a LONG way from a lot of runners in NY State!

  12. John Z, heckler

go back to buffalo where nothing goes on alright john z, seriously what goes on up there that would be motivation to have anything up there? o sweet theres Canada!
