That was quite the day at West Point yesterday. Unfortunately due to space limitations not every qualifier could make it in the story, but I’ll be back later with a recap of all the day’s top finishers. Until that time comes you should check out today’s stories.

The girl’s article focuses on Jackie Gamboli and how at a slower track she again set the Section 1 record in the 1,500. The boy’s story talks about North Rockland senior Dasheen Ellis. He went from a wanderer on the track circuit who went from event to event to becoming one of the best triple jumpers in the state and a chance at a state title.
