Another college signing

April
3

After a terrific indoor season, Harrison senior Cladio Delli Carpini officially decided on a college. He will be attending Clemson University in the fall. Delli Carpini is a 23-foot long jumper and can run 7.42 in the hurdles. He had a great season last winter proving to be one of the best athletes in Section 1. He has the ability to do some many events, which makes him so intriguing as an athlete next year at Clemson. He can compete in the hurdles, sprints, high and long jump. He could definitely be someone to keep an eye on next year as he competes on the Division I level.

College Acceptance

April
3

He’s been one of the better runners in the area, but this past winter Chris Carrington was arguably the best miler in the state. By the end of the season he was running 4:14 and has goals of breaking 4:10 in the outdoor season. Next fall Carrington has decided to continue his running career at George Mason University. It should be a good fit for Carrington and I think he should adjust well to the college level.

Quiet day yesterday

April

Only one meet on the slate for yesterday. It was a pretty quiet day, but that’s expected as Saturday nears and the teams prepare for the invitationals on the weekend. New Rochelle will be having its meet on Saturday, where I will be in attendance and there will also be a meet over at Pearl River. I’ll try and keep you updated on all the results that will be coming in over the weekend.

I’m really looking forward to covering girls track this spring. The preview is so close to running (3 days!) . I wish my first blog was a little more interesting but I just wanted to stop in and post the results from the Somers dual meet since Dan has been out of the office.

Enjoy!

Some more duAl meets

April
1

I have some more dual meet results for everybody. I know I haven’t been posting as much, but I have good news: All of the preview and all-star work is done! That means I can start to spend some more time on the blog. We are in countdown mode for the previews: four days to go! I’ll be at my first outdoor meet of the season this weekend and I’ll be able to update you on some of the other meets going on this weekend. But until then, here are some more meets from yesterday. Take a look at Harrison – Tappan Zee boys, they tied, I don’t know if I’ve seen that too often. The missing Pearl River meet also makes an appearance, sorry about that not getting in.
