Finanacial Crisis, yeah for some. But not all. They should send reporters to report on high school athletes that are competeting post HS season. Or report on non high school events like the USA track and Field Team qualifiers. Maybe more track events would sell more papers. And that would help the NJ. However given the Blog maybe just simple reporting here would be a start. Heres some news I did go to the events and saw them live that's how I saw local athletes competing. Which like you said helps the economy. I did my part. Comparing Jen, Lynne, etc to MJ nice try. And a lame excuse for the lack of reporting on other track and field events . MJ was not in the sports page but maybe he should have been since Magic Johnson said MJ made him and colby the basketball players they are. go fogure. as for the 21 Century their is more to the sport than the high school season.

With the financial crisis we are presently in why would the newspaper send reporters to cover events that are not high school related. Here's an idea leave the house and go to watch the events live - it will be good for you and help the economy. Sorry you think that the Jen's, Lynne's, Shelby's and Sean's get too much ink - it's the world we live in - FYI - all the round the clock coverage of MJ with everything else happening in the world over the past two weeks. Welcome to 21st century America.

No not correct, not everyone is finished for the season. The season continues into the summer, MAC Qualifiers,(White Plains), Liberty Empire Games(Queensbbury, NY), Jr Olympics (Greensboro,NC) and Club championships (Ichan Stadium) to name a few meets. I have seen several area atheletes at the qualifiers for these meets but no reporters or coverage of same. Assumming that the Titanic is the JN coverage/blog, I dont want to sit back and be the orchetra and go down with the ship nor do I want to continue to check if the ship is sinking given the lack of print/blog reporting. Heck there isn't any story about Oregon regarding the US National team in the paper. Even thought Lynne Layne attended. Remember her she was the Jen C in the day, which was not too long ago. How quick we forget.

I am enjoying the summer by following the sport and some of the finishes have been chilling.

Does this blog only work if a certain Jen C or Sean H sneeze or have to tie their shoes? Up date Jen was seen in the mall at a store... Sean had his wisdom tooth pulled. Or Shelby was in a car( pun intended). Not to diss Jen, Sean or Shelby but this blog has gone out with the tide.... Will someone throw in a life preserver. Totally bored

No, the World Youth Championships are for athletes born in 1992 or 1993; therefore, there will be many 17-year-olds present. Jennifer will be 17 in October.
